This is (was) my unapologetically filter-free fandom rant / wank LJ.
Obviously there are some things I just can't say on fan boards, where the unofficial motto is "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all".
Not to mention that politeness set aside, I don't especially want to spend time writing posts, only to see them deleted.
But I'm also stubborn like that, and I just have to lash out every now and then.
Comments are screened by default and the "friends of" list hidden.
Yeah, that certainly shows how healthy and open-minded the fandom is, like Care Bear land.
No, the comments screening isn't to protect me from the "shame" of getting flames in public (what a strange concept...), because flames amuse me, in case it's not obvious from the very concept of this LJ.
Fandom is not a wonderful gathering of friends. It's mostly fandom accointances. Every now and then, you connect a bit more with a few individuals, but since we don't even have in common our interest for a certain actor (nope, some people seem to be in here for other reasons, that I don't always understand) or show, excuse me if I don't feel the need to play a popularity game. I was never really good at that. I just can't lie well enough. And, well, don't see why I should, either...
